In a battle for first place in the AFC between the Patriots and Colts, on NBC’s Sunday Night Football, New England knew they would have to get pressure on Andrew Luck to stymie a potent Colts offense and they knew they had the right man for the job. Defensive captain Rob Ninkovich stepped up as usual and had Luck on the run all night. Ninkovich had 4 solo tackles along with a sack, his 5th of the season, in what continues to be a Pro Bowl caliber season from the 9-year veteran. New England know has the inside track on the top seed in the conference with the playoffs 6 weeks away.
New England has no time to relax as they take on the 7-3 Detroit Lions this coming Sunday at noon on FOX. If the past is any indication we can expect to see the Captain in the backfield harassing another quarterback.
