Looking back at the New England Patriots season, Rob Ninkovich, LB, Patriots, could arguably be the most underrated player for the team. He played on 93.9 percent of Patriot defensive snaps and finished with 62 tackles, 8 sacks and 1 interception in the regular season.
As defensive captain and one of the team leaders, Ninkovich has transitioned his game since he first entered the NFL. “I’ve come a very long way since I got here,” Ninkovich said. “I think that just by leading by example and doing the right things and working hard — that’s being a leader.”
Looking ahead to the 2015 season, the same core lineup should be back for the defensive line and linebacker group. Ninkovich is under contract through the 2016 season, but don’t be surprised if the Patriots look to add some depth through the NFL Draft as they try to defend their Super Bowl championship.
